At Biotechnology School Rakičan we provide further education for students aged between 15 and 19 and Adult Learners. We are a state-funded school and have a long history of agricultural education and training. Agricultural education teaches students about agriculture, food and natural resources. Through these subjects, agricultural educators teach students a wide variety of skills, including science, math, communications, leadership, management and technology. We provide quality advice and guidance to ensure that the programme our students select enables them to progress to the next stage of their career, whether to Higher Education or to employment.

Our school is located in the Rakičan village, celebrating its 78th anniversary this year. Providing the education for agricultural professions, taking care of traditions, developing new expertise and being strongly interlinked with the surrounding area, the school has markedly influenced the identity of the region and its inhabitants throughout these 78 years.

Our school offers different programmes:

• Secondary short vocational education (2 years)
• Secondary vocational education (3 years)
• Secondary technical education (4 years).

Students can choose between different vocations:

• Agricultural entrepreneurial technician
• Assistants in biotechnology and care
•  Farmer

At our school we are not only interested in helping our students achieve good results, but also in helping them to develop as a person, to find their own way and to realize their potential. By relying on contemporary curriculum our students and adult learners acquire quality knowledge, abilities and skills.
